For over 6 years, I served as a freelance Social Media Publisher at Dick Clark Productions, contributing my copy writing and social media skills to renowned shows such as the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, Streamy Awards, and Miss America. My primary focus was on enhancing Dick Clark Productions’ social media presence by crafting engaging real-time copy for their award shows.

During these events, I live-tweeted directly on their Twitter accounts, aiming to attract as many followers as possible. Throughout my time there, their Twitter profiles accumulated millions of followers.

Notably, a photo I captured featuring Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift went viral, becoming a recurring post on both artists’ social media profiles. The circulating photo brought even more attention to the Billboard Awards.

In November 2017, I took on the challenge of creating and producing the American Music Awards Snapchat. I created a script, came up with engaging content, chose fans to ‘take over’ our page, and starred in the videos as well. During this, our snapchat gained over 30k followers with hundreds of thousands of views on our stories. To amplify our reach, I identified fans from around the globe and invited them to our show, strategically selecting those who would broaden our outreach and actively promote our Snapchat. I chose 10 fans and combined they had over 3 million followers and all promoted the #AMAs hashtag and American Music Awards snapchat. I also worked closely with musicians, including BTS, guiding their involvement to feature on our Snapchat and boost our following. BTS is one of the most famous K-Pop bands with over 40 million followers— a photo we took went viral on twitter, and the caption strategically prompted fans to tune in.
